This sculpture is the maquette for the Ann Arbor Holocaust Memorial. It stands seven feet tall on the site of the first Jewish Cemetery in Michigan. There were five sculptures done in the Holocaust Memorial series. They each have a common iconology in the hidden or partially hidden faces and the obscuring or binding garments.
