Paula Gottlieb: Spirit of Place
Paula Gottlieb’s paintings contain both tangible and intangible elements of spirit of place. They are mysterious yet very substantial. Each one contains a particular experience of being. They are constructed to appear simple and easy to enter, yet they are a complex weave and distillation into essential elements of composition, color and shape. Paula has been painting since she was a child and never tires of exploring the visual, emotional and psychospiritual experience of her place in the world and translating this experience into paint. Paula teaches drawing and painting around the Pioneer Valley and beyond and has been showing at R.Michelson Galleries since 1980. The following series was exhibited at R. Michelson Galleries in December 2015.
