My artwork is inspired by Jane Yolen’s wonderful poem “Cats in Hats.” The lines about “full of bats” and “British bowler hat” stood out for me. It allowed me to do something fun, but scary, and to paint a “Big Ben” background. When I am not anchored to my drawing table, I can be found roaming moose-infested Maine, with a banjo in my hand, strumming away to an agitated wife and 3 highly opinionated art directing cats.
